How it all began
Our story began in April 2019 with a spark at our first date at Jerry’s in Blouberg — ocean views, easy laughs, and that “this feels different” feeling.
In 2020 we officially started dating, survived COVID, moved to Mooikloof in Pretoria, and welcomed our fluffy chaos queen, Honey. Oliver joined the pack in 2021, and Hilton dove into his postgrad studies while keeping the whole crew running.
The next few years were a hilarious mix of highs and “we got this” moments:
Navigating a tough moments and new careers, Anelda’s epic foot fail (now legendary), family hikes with her parents, our first Sun City getaway, Anelda bravely launching Aquiver, Hilton’s dramatic face-plant at a friend’s wedding (still roast material), our epic Tesla road trip to Cape Town, golf adventures, Anelda turning 30 in style, our first magical Kruger safari, meeting Hilton’s brother Sean and his family, and waving Anelda’s sister off as she moved to the USA in 2024.
In early 2025 we moved into our family home, and..
in December Hilton pulled off the ultimate surprise: an unexpected proposal with her family in Cape Town. He got down on one knee, shaking like a tree in the wind, and Anelda said YES through happy tears.
